Luc comes from a family of cat lovers. Marije introduced him to dogs almost thirty years ago; she herself had dogs from an early age. First there were the Golden Retrievers Mees and Lidy, later the shelter dogs Stella (2010-2026) and Lilly from Gran Canaria — our current dog. 

In addition to our love for animals, there is plenty of nature and the mountains are never far away in our lives. Until 2026, we lived in Switzerland, where we enjoyed the Alps and the Jura. Finally, the Vosges are our ideal region: snow and ice in winter, great summers and less than half a day's drive from our families in the Netherlands, Belgium and the French Alps.

We feel most at home amidst abundant "nature", but we do value being close to "culture" Plombières-les-Bains has a lot to offer, walk downtown with us and discover its restaurants, its shops and its 19th century heritage.
